What is the value of FREE?

What is the value of free? Lately, I have been giving it some thought.

Do you value yourself when you do something for free? I don’t mean donating time to the local shelter or charity. I mean a skill you studied, or have been paid for in the past, to be told you are wanted but only for free.

We are “given” a lot of things for free it seems or feels, but in the end they are not. I don’t mean gifts or love or sunshine. I mean things we expect for free because, they are a partial offer or we think we should have them.

At The Model Coaches, my business is scouting, advising and uplifting teen girls to reach their dream of being a model. Using my expertise, years of experience, contacts and access, to coach them on what to do and how to do it. Empower each in a personal way with positive reinforcement of their ability and potential. I don’t offer that powerful exchange for free because I know what it is worth and the results I can create for each one. When they are young, and most are, I support and educate their parents on decisions for their daughter. Until they turn 18, and beyond, that continues.

I do not fill heads with empty promises, or charge thousands of dollars to fill a large group presentation or auditorium. That may work for some, but it is not my passion as a coach. I like the individual connection with each client to push them in the right direction, and focus on their attributes. I might meet them in a group video presentation or online, but when we get to work we focus.

Lessons and education have value, and depending on your teacher and your investment, you may reach what you seek. It takes hard work and time, and I watch this every day. In my opinion, it is best absorbed in smaller groups or one on one attention.

Choose value that makes sense to you versus a value that offers “everything”. Don’t take the shortcut, get in for the long game.

I value my years of experience and my work in this business in NY, and for worldwide companies. Scouting, finding and managing models at the top and to the top. To show you how to present yourself to agencies and what they look for, really look for.

In this scenario, chances are you won’t value expert guidance and information given to you for free. And let me say, you shouldn’t.

Your value to me is you. It is your physical ability to project in pictures, to sell through images, your character, your beauty (albeit subjective), your curiosity and how you shine. It is your smile and your energy. Who you really are and all things you have but may not have the confidence yet to apply and show the world.

So if you are here, on this website, social media or blog, to see what you can get for free, I am not your person. If you are here because you respect the models you admire, AND yourself, then I am the perfect Coach and Scout for you.

I give a lot of advice and information for free. In fact as much as possible.. Then I leave the decision to you and your parents.  Are you serious enough to actually take action, jump in and get the information you need? Oh, and open up and have fun!

Things change fast in the fashion and modeling world, including trends, and what’s hot. There are thousands of agencies, in many cities, with agents and scouts changing all the time. Hard to know who works where and who to trust. Information is difficult to get and understand what it means.

All agencies are not like the TOP TEN, and all don’t operate with the same ethical standard. I promise you they are not all equal, but they can be excellent at selling themselves to you. You need truth and guidance to help you determine the best choices.

I believe in being ready for the big stage. Just like opening night, you will save yourself time, money and heartache if you have studied your lines.

This business is similar. See if you fit in as a model and if modeling is for you? Part time or full time, big city or small city? I promise you a positive experience and mentorship that only a few talented scouts can offer.

When we work together,  your abilities in modeling will flourish, your confidence will grow and you will be ready. When that happens, I will introduce you to the right agents for you.

If you are interested in getting scouted and working with me, please share your email and we will give you some Model Knowledge to get you started. Yep, for FREE!
